Lostwood Bridge


Things are now on the move for the creation of the next layout at the club. This will be operated by DCC and be named Lostwood Bridge.
The track plan is loosely based on a real location near Burnley Lancashire.
Eventually it will be a complete round and round layout measuring 20ft x 10ft.

The view along the front of the layout looking towards the end where the container terminal will be located. Currently the terminal is being updated and future pictures will be added to include that area.

A closer look at the ramp leading up to where the container terminal will be sited and also the complimentary ramp down on the main lines so as to avoid having too steep an incline.
Looking at the middle section of the layout showing the signal box and the footbridge that leads to the "Preserved Line" section of the layout.
The platform for that line is just visible behind the box.

Looking at the right hand end of the model. The "Preserved Line" will feature a small loco shed and a goods / junk yard in this area.

The far right hand end with the village square and garage in view. All the buildings here are from the "Metcalfe" range.
The model seen at Martin Mere wild fowl sanctury where it was on of those that were on display over the weekend of 23rd and 24th of January 2010.
The view here is of the container terminal which is nearing completion having been fitted with lights and a refueling bay.
